Monaco - Jazz night above the harbour

A sepia nocturne cut in two by a shopfront mullion: on the left a terrace overlooking the lit-up harbour, on the right the interior of a club where a trio plays double bass, drums and saxophone in front of a mural. Figures in evening dress, backless gowns and hats look out over the bay where the yachts line up beneath the lights of the city clinging to the hillside. An old street lamp and a candle on a pedestal table provide the two points of light that structure the image. The range is entirely monochrome brown, very dark, with amber highlights. The word MONACO in fine, widely spaced capitals closes the bottom of the poster.

Printed to order in our workshop near Grasse, in the south of France, on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, M1 certified (rated fire-resistant, approved for public venues). Pigment inks. Available in 21×30, 30×40, 50×70 and 70×100 cm, on its own or with its frame.
