Bear as seen by our artists: the brown, black and white coats, as plates and as portraits. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal world, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your bear poster
Which bear poster should you choose?
- Polar bear poster: white against an icy backdrop, pack ice, Nordic minimalism.
- Brown bear poster: forest, mountain, realistic animal portrait.
- Teddy bear poster: soft silhouette, pastel tones, an endearing style for a child's room.
- Masha and Michka poster: cartoon world, bright colours, recognisable characters.
- Polar bear poster or brown bear poster in a nature-photography style: black and white or colour, tight framing.
- Graphic bear poster: flat colour, clean lines, Scandinavian style.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a bear poster?
- Child's room: a teddy bear or a Masha and Michka scene, in soft colours.
- Living room: a polar bear or a brown bear in a large size, above the sofa.
- Bedroom: a polar bear in neutral tones, soothing above the bed.
- Office: a minimalist graphic bear, understated next to the screen.
- Entrance or hallway: an animal-themed series, mountain and snowy forest.
Photographic or illustrated bear poster?
Nature photography captures the texture of the fur and the animal's gaze, in colour or in black and white: it suits a living room or an office. Illustration, whether more graphic or softer like the teddy bear, speaks more to a child's room. For a pared-back interior, flat colour is the natural choice; for a realistic, striking result, photography remains the safest bet.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
