Posters savannah
Savannah as seen by our artists: the giraffes and the zebras against a low sun. Each poster is a personal reading of the landscape, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your Savannah poster
Which savanna poster should you choose?
- African savanna poster: golden light, acacia silhouettes, an open horizon over the plain.
- Savanna animals poster: lion, elephant, giraffe and zebra, alone or in a herd scene.
- Savanna animals poster black and white: strong contrast, photographic grain, timeless rendering.
- Minimalist savanna poster: an acacia or giraffe silhouette cut out on a plain background.
- Savanna birth poster and savanna baby poster: a soft animal character, pastel palette, for a child's room.
- Large-format savanna wall poster: a panoramic scene to fill an entire wall.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by animal and by size.
Where should you hang a savanna poster?
- Child's room: a savanna animal in soft colours, above the bed or the chest of drawers.
- Living room: a panoramic scene or a black and white, in a large size above the sofa.
- Office: an acacia or giraffe silhouette, understated, next to the screen.
- Hallway: a series of savanna animals, in the same size, to set a rhythm along the passage.
- Entrance: a lion or an elephant in black and white, to set the tone from the doorway.
Savanna poster in colour or in black and white?
Colour brings back the golden light of the African sunset and suits a room that lacks warmth. Black and white pares the scene down and the contrast carries the animal subject further; it suits an interior that is already colourful. For a child's room, a pastel palette softens the mood; for a living room, a large size in colour or in black and white makes more of an impact than a small print.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
