Chamonix posters

Chamonix lends itself to three moods: the rocky peaks towering over the valley, the snow-capped summits under winter light, and the village nestled at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif. Each Chamonix poster, printed to order in our workshop in Fayence on 270g semi-matte photo paper, reveals a different facet of this alpine landscape.

Chamonix poster: the Mont Blanc valley in one print

Which Chamonix poster to choose?

The choice depends on the mood you're after: a rocky summit, a wintery atmosphere, or village life. A poster of the peaks suits a clean, minimalist interior, while a snowy scene brings more softness and light. A view of the village conveys a lived-in atmosphere, with its chalets and lanes, a register distinct from the high-mountain landscape. The poster can also highlight the ski season, under the winter sun. The filters on the left of the catalogue let you sort by colour, size or orientation.

  • Mont Blanc massif poster
  • Chamonix peaks poster
  • Chamonix village in winter poster
  • Snow-capped valley summits poster
  • Alpine valley in summer poster

Where to hang a Chamonix poster?

The size and location determine the choice of scene.

  • Living room: a 50x70 or a 70x100 with a wide view of the massif, to anchor the space
  • Bedroom: a 30x40 with a snowy mood, more soothing in the evening
  • Office or entryway: a 21x30 of the peaks, a compact, graphic format
  • Hallway or staircase: a series of several small formats showing different valley summits

Tip: match the shade of the poster's sky to the room's natural light for a more harmonious effect.

Mountain landscape or village life?

Should you favour the high mountains or the atmosphere of the alpine town? A peak or a snow-capped summit evokes altitude and the silence of the heights, while a village scene conveys the warmth of a lived-in place, between chalets and snowy lanes. An open view of the summits emphasises depth, while a close-up framing on the chalets highlights textures. Choose a shared colour palette if you want to combine these two approaches on the same wall.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
