Posters lion

Lions as seen by our artists: pastel manes, soft gazes and graphic lines. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your lion poster

Which lion poster should you choose?

  • Lion King poster: Simba, Mufasa, the lion king's guard, a Disney world.
  • Lion and lioness poster: a couple, a gaze, the mane against the softness of the muzzle.
  • Lion and cub poster: filiation, tenderness, a savannah scene.
  • Lion skull poster: skull, symbol, graphic black and white.
  • Black and white lion poster: an animal portrait in chiaroscuro, a detailed mane.
  • Colour lion poster: a warm palette, savannah, an illustration style in the manner of Ingela Arrhenius.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a lion poster?

  • Child's room: Simba, the lion king's guard, a touching cub.
  • Living room: a lion portrait in a large size, alone above the sofa.
  • Office: a skull or a graphic black and white, more restrained.
  • Bedroom: a lion and his lioness, in warm and calm tones.
  • Hallway: a series of three portraits, lion, lioness, cub.

Tip: the mane carries the detail. A generous size reveals it better than a small frame.

Lion portrait or savannah scene?

  • The portrait frames the gaze and the mane; it works alone and close up.
  • The savannah scene tells a moment; it asks for more distance and width.
  • 50x70 or 70x100 for a scene that needs space.
  • 30x40 for a portrait, which stays legible even in a small size.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
