Orange posters

Orange as seen by our artists: citrus, sunsets, burnt earth and bold flat colour. An orange poster wakes up a neutral wall on its own. Every print is made to order in our Fayence workshop, on 270 g semi-matte anti-glare photo paper.

Choosing your orange poster

Which orange poster should you choose?

  • A Clockwork Orange poster: the face with the ringed eye, the icons of Kubrick's film.
  • Orange is the New Black poster: the series, its portraits, its prison codes turned around.
  • Flat orange: a single frank shade, no motif, a pure accent.
  • Orange gradient and sunset: from yellow to red brown, a warm light.
  • Vintage orange poster: old advertisements, yellowed paper and brick tones.
  • Orange abstraction: geometric shapes, curves, painted matter.

The filters on the left narrow things down by shade, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang an orange poster?

  • Living room: a flat orange or an orange abstraction, in a large size, to warm a pale wall.
  • Bedroom: a muted, settled orange, never too vivid above the bed.
  • Office or home cinema: the Clockwork Orange poster, for those who follow Kubrick.
  • TV room or reading corner: Orange is the New Black, beside other series posters.
  • Entrance or hallway: an orange gradient, which welcomes without dominating.

Tip: orange visually warms a north-facing room. On a wall that is already warm, prefer a more muted tone.

A Clockwork Orange or Orange is the New Black?

  • A Clockwork Orange summons a cult film of the 1970s, a black and white shot through with orange, a cold and graphic register.
  • Orange is the New Black is more recent, warmer in palette, carried by faces and a prison jumpsuit.
  • The first suits a plain, film-minded interior, the second a more colourful wall, close to other pop culture.
  • In both cases, the 270 g photo paper with its semi-matte finish keeps the oranges crisp under living room light.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
