Posters Toledo

Toledo as seen by our artists: the Mudéjar arch opening onto the Tagus. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your Toledo poster

Which Toledo poster should you choose?

Toledo comes in several registers, the ones found in a Toledo poster or, more broadly, in a Spain print:

  • Toledo panorama poster: the city on its rock, seen from the far bank of the Tagus, cathedral and Alcázar dominating the whole.
  • Toledo cathedral poster: Gothic façade, towers and stained glass, a pure architecture subject.
  • Toledo alleys poster: cobbled lanes and ochre façades, a travel-map register.
  • Alcántara Bridge poster: arches over the Tagus, the city's historic entrance.
  • Toledo at sunset poster: golden ramparts, orange sky, a warm mood.
  • Minimalist Toledo poster: the city's silhouette reduced to its lines, a sober palette.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood, also useful for browsing the whole of a Spain poster in the same spirit.

Where should you hang a Toledo poster?

  • Living room: a large panoramic format of the city above the sofa.
  • Office: an architecture view, cathedral or alleys, for a studious setting.
  • Entrance: the Alcántara Bridge or a view over the Tagus, to set the tone of the journey.
  • Bedroom: a sunset over the ramparts, warm and soothing tones.
  • Hallway: a series of Toledo views, same format, to tell the city's story in stages.

Toledo poster: horizontal or vertical format?

A panorama from the far bank of the Tagus calls for a horizontal format, which takes in the whole city on its rock. An alley, the cathedral or the bridge suit the vertical format better, which follows the height of the façades. On a wide wall, above a sofa, horizontal wins out. On a narrow wall, in an entrance or a hallway, vertical fits better.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
