Annecy Posters

The lake, the mountains and the Thiou canals form three views of Annecy. A lakeside panorama opens up the horizon; the old town's façades bring an architectural presence. We print each poster to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.

This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.

Annecy Poster: Between Lake, Mountains and Old Town

Which Annecy Poster to Choose

Annecy brings together several distinct landscapes, from the lake to the cobbled streets and the Thiou quays. Colour and style filters help refine your selection. An urban view focuses on the colourful façades, the canals and the old town. Here are the most common styles:

  • Wide lakeside landscape, mountains in the background, soothing atmosphere
  • Urban scene focused on the canals and bridges
  • Close-up on the Pont des Amours, between nature and architecture
  • Colourful illustrative palette or a clean graphic treatment
  • Vertical format for a narrow street, horizontal format for a panorama

Where to Hang an Annecy Poster

The format and style also depend on the room to be decorated. A living room suits a large lake landscape in 50x70 or 70x100, while an entryway prefers a more vertical urban view. A few pointers by room:

  • Living room: panorama of the lake or mountains in a large format
  • Bedroom: gentle urban view or Pont des Amours in 30x40
  • Office: 21x30 format for a subtle, graphic touch
  • Hallway: a 100x140 polyptych displays the same view of Lake Annecy across four panels.

Tip: pairing a lake view with an urban view creates an interesting contrast without overloading the wall.

Lake or Old Town: How to Decide

If the space already evokes nature, it's better to choose an urban view to bring architectural character. Conversely, an interior full of detail will benefit from opening onto a more understated lakeside landscape. Also consider the light: the lake's blue tones extend a cool palette, while the warm hues of the façades warm up the space. There is no single right choice, the key is to stay consistent with the room's atmosphere.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
