Posters dijon
Dijon as seen by our artists: the glazed tile roofs, the half-timbered façades and the windows open onto the Notre-Dame spire. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.
Choosing your Dijon poster
What does our Dijon poster show?
Two posters make up this section, and both look at the roofs:
- The window onto the roofs: a foreground of half-timbering and tiles, seen from inside.
- The glazed roofs from below: the ochre, green and black lozenges that make the Burgundian signature, rising towards a clear blue sky.
The glazed tiles of Dijon are the motif people come for, and these two views put them at the centre.
Which wall colour for a Dijon poster?
- The ochres and greens of the tiles sit well on a white, cream or linen wall, and clash with a yellow one.
- On a dark green wall the lozenges gain depth and the blue of the sky comes forward.
- A medium wood frame, oak or light walnut, follows the terracotta. Black hardens it needlessly.
- Living room, study and hallway all work: these views stand being crossed quickly as well as studied.
One poster or both?
- The two answer each other, one seen from inside, the other from the street: a natural pair, at the same size.
- On its own, the view from below wants a large format: the lozenges need room to read.
- With other French cities, keep an identical size across the whole wall.
How are these posters printed?
Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Grasse, on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, using low-emission inks. It comes in 21x30, 30x40, 50x70 and 70x100 cm, on its own or with its frame.
