Choosing your Ibiza poster

Which Ibiza poster should you choose?

Ibiza comes in several registers, and they do not tell the same island:

  • Vintage Ibiza poster: seaside advertising, retro lettering, a faded palette.
  • Calas and coves: turquoise water, white cliffs, midday light.
  • White architecture: cube houses, the alleys of Ibiza town, blue shutters.
  • Sunset: an orange sky, the silhouette of Es Vedra, a marine horizon.
  • Party scene: a night-time mood, palm trees, discreet neon.
  • Minimalist Ibiza poster: simple flat colour, one shape, one dominant hue.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang an Ibiza poster?

  • Living room: a sunset or a piece of white architecture, in a large size.
  • Bedroom: a cala in soft tones, never a party scene that is too vivid.
  • Entrance: whatever sets the tone of a holiday flat.
  • Kitchen: a vertical size inspired by the white alleys.
  • Office: a minimalist Ibiza poster, discreet beside the screen.

Vintage Ibiza poster or present-day photograph?

  • Vintage evokes an era: old lettering, washed-out colours, seaside nostalgia.
  • The present-day photograph shows the island as it is today, with its light and its contrasts.
  • On a wall already full of coloured furniture, vintage asserts itself less and blends in better.
  • The size counts as much as the choice: a 50x70 for a panorama of calas, a 30x40 for an alley or an architectural detail.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
