Lemons as seen by our artists: yellow citrus, terracotta bowls, leaf shadows and sunlit tables. Each poster is a personal reading of the Mediterranean still life, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your lemon poster

Which lemon poster should you choose?

The lemon comes in several registers, and they do not tell the same story:

  • Vintage lemon poster: old advertising, a citrus crate label, period lettering.
  • Still life: cut lemons, a wicker basket, kitchen light.
  • Botany: a branch, foliage, the fruit still attached, in the manner of an old plate.
  • Graphic flat colour: frank yellow, simple shapes, an advertising-poster spirit.
  • Lemon spa poster: zest, water, a pared-back and calming mood.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a lemon poster?

  • Kitchen: a still life or a botanical plate, near the worktop.
  • Dining room: a vintage lemon poster, for a retro tone at the table.
  • Bathroom: the spa register, restrained and luminous.
  • Living room: a graphic flat colour in a large size, for a touch of frank colour.
  • Hallway: a series of three lemons, same artist, same size.

Vintage or graphic lemon poster?

  • Vintage suits an interior that already plays the old card: wood, brass, muted colours.
  • The graphic agrees better with a pale wall and a contemporary decor.
  • At 21x30 both read well; at 50x70 or 70x100 the graphic holds the distance better.
  • For a series, keep the same register across the whole wall: mixing vintage and graphic blurs the set.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
