Posters Namur
Namur as seen by our artists: the citadel above the confluence, the bridge over the Meuse and the quays of the old town. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 270 gsm semi-matte photo paper in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your Namur poster
Which Namur poster should you choose?
- Namur citadel poster: the fortress perched at the confluence, wide view or detail of the ramparts.
- Sambre and Meuse confluence poster: the most recognisable viewpoint of the city, in colour or in black and white.
- Namur historic centre poster: narrow streets, façades and Place d'Armes, postcard style.
- Vintage Namur poster: period lettering, a travel poster in the style of tourist advertising.
- Minimalist Namur poster: the rooftop line or the citadel's outline reduced to the essential.
- Namur map poster: the town and its surroundings in map illustration.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by size.
Where should you hang a Namur poster?
- Living room: the citadel or the confluence in a large size, alone above the sofa.
- Office: a map of Namur or a minimalist version, understated near the screen.
- Entrance: a vintage Namur poster, to set the tone from the doorway.
- Bedroom: a sunset view of the confluence, in soft tones.
- Hallway: a series of several viewpoints of the town, in the same size.
Namur poster in colour or in black and white?
Colour brings back the light of the Meuse and the stone tones of the citadel, with more presence on a pale wall. Black and white erases the season and suits an interior already rich in colour, especially a room that gets a lot of natural light. On a dark wall, a black and white Namur poster with a pale frame stands out more than a coloured version.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
