Panda as seen by our artists: the black and white, from the close portrait to the blue mountains. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal world, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your panda poster
Which panda poster should you choose?
- Classic panda poster: close-up portrait, neutral background, the black and white of the coat put forward.
- Red panda poster: red and cream silhouette, a rarer choice, bamboo forest mood.
- Panda and bamboo: an animated scene, green foliage, a natural palette.
- Panda illustration: clean line, flat colours, a graphic version rather than a photo.
- Watercolour panda: blended outlines, soft tones, for a child's bedroom.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by size.
Where should you hang a panda poster?
- Child's bedroom: an illustrated or watercolour panda, in a large size above the bed.
- Living room: a black and white panda poster, understated, next to a bookcase.
- Office: a red panda, a touch of colour without overloading the wall.
- Hallway: a series of two sizes, classic panda and panda and bamboo, aligned.
Tip: the black and white panda goes with almost any wall, the coloured version needs a more neutral background.
Framed or unframed panda poster?
A thin frame in light wood or black goes well with the contrast of the coat and protects the paper over time. Without a frame, the poster is put up with strips or simple washi tape, a quick option for a child's bedroom that is likely to change often. The 21x30 size lends itself well to hanging without a frame, the 50x70 benefits from being framed to stay straight over time.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
