Burgundy poster with or without frame?

A thin frame, in light wood or black, suits vineyard views and landscapes. An unframed poster, simply mounted or placed under an existing glass, keeps a rawer look, suited to vintage prints or Dijon facades. The choice mainly depends on the wall and the rest of the room. For a series in the same format, it is better to choose an identical frame to keep a coherent line on the wall.

Poster, print or artwork: what's the difference?

All three words refer here to the same thing: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We speak of a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
