What should you look for in a Fauvist print?
In the spirit of Fauvism, colour does more than describe an object faithfully. It builds the emotion and balance of the image. A blue tree or an orange sky may therefore matter more for its place in the composition than for its resemblance to a real landscape.

An expressive image without a crowded interior
The size should suit the available viewing distance. A large, legible composition works on a clear wall; a small, detailed motif is better discovered near a walkway. For a group of frames, vary the subjects while keeping a link between the palettes. This preserves the energy of Fauvist wall decor while bringing coherence to the arrangement.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
