Choosing your video game poster
Which video game poster should you choose?
A video game poster can evoke the pleasure of playing without turning the whole room into a game room. Start with the subject you enjoy looking at: a handheld console, a controller, a screen or the details of a circuit board. The view of a disassembled console draws the eye to its components; a single isolated object leaves more room on the wall.
- Console and technical drawing: to rediscover a familiar object in its details.
- Graphic image: to favour the silhouette and the recognisable buttons.
- Strong contrast: to make the subject stand out from a distance.
Choose the image first, then its dominant colour using the collection's filters.
Where should you hang a video game poster?
At a desk, place the image near your gaming space while keeping enough distance to read its composition. In a teen bedroom, a console poster can serve as the starting point for the decor, with a lamp and a frame that pick up a colour from the image. A plain wall works well with a detailed drawing: the circuits and lettering stay readable without blending into other patterns.
Which frame for a video game decor?
A black frame underlines the outlines of a console and the lines of a technical drawing. White opens up a clear composition; light oak brings a softer presence to a bedroom. To bring several images together, keep the same frame and the same hanging height. Check the available dimensions on the product page and measure the space before choosing the size.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
