Zebra as seen by our artists: the black and white stripes in the mist and the sand. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal world, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your zebra poster
Which zebra poster should you choose?
- Black and white zebra poster: crisp stripes, strong contrast, pure graphic rendering.
- Photographic zebra poster: animal coat captured in close-up, texture and detail.
- Illustrated zebra poster: stylised line, flat colour, a version more decorative than realistic.
- Savannah and herd poster: zebras in a scene, African horizon, safari mood.
- Graphic zebra poster: stripe pattern reframed into abstraction, very pared back.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by framing and by style.
Where should you hang a zebra poster?
- Living room: a large black and white format above the sofa, for a wall that stands out.
- Bedroom: a photographic zebra at the head of the bed, understated and without a jarring colour.
- Office: a graphic version of the stripes, discreet next to the screen.
- Entrance: a tightly framed zebra poster, to mark the threshold.
- Hallway: a series of two identical sizes, the same black and white treatment.
Zebra poster in black and white or in colour?
Black and white remains the natural register for the zebra: it goes with every wall palette and never dates. A coloured version, tinted or cropped onto a detail, brings a more contemporary accent but needs a wall that is already understated so as not to overload the room. In a neutral interior, both work; on a wall already busy with colour, black and white wins out.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
