Flowers seen by our artists: bouquets, botanical plates, dried flowers and poppies. A flower print brings colour without the upkeep of a real bouquet. Every print is made to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g photo paper with a semi-matte finish.

Choosing your flower print

Which flower poster should you choose?

The floral motif covers very different registers, and they do not tell the same thing:

  • Vintage flower poster: old engravings, faded shades, collector's plates.
  • Poppy and sunflower: frank colour, a single flower in a very large size.
  • Bouquet and botany: compositions, herbaria, foliage identified in the manner of a scientific plate.
  • Wild flowers and dandelion: light silhouettes, a country mood, a soft palette.
  • Japanese cherry in blossom: branches, petals, a sakura spirit.
  • Flower woman poster: a portrait mingled with the floral motif, between botany and figuration.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a flower poster?

  • Living room: a bouquet or a botanical plate in a large size, above the sofa.
  • Bedroom: a Japanese cherry or wild flowers, for a settled mood.
  • Dining room: a sunflower or a peony, echoing the table.
  • Entrance: a vintage flower poster, to set the tone from the threshold.
  • Bathroom: a light motif, poppy or lily of the valley, on a pale wall.

Tip: a single flower in close-up holds better on its own than a busy bouquet, which prefers a clear wall around it.

Botanical or vintage?

  • The botanical plate stays precise: it identifies a species, in an almost scientific style.
  • The vintage flower poster owns its patina: faded colours, period framing, an advertisement or old herbarium spirit.
  • For a plain room, botany goes better with a pared-back line.
  • For a more lived-in room, vintage brings character and marries well with older furniture.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
