Tigers as seen by our artists: stripes, silhouettes and graphic lines. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your tiger poster
Which tiger poster should you choose?
- Tiger portrait: a gaze head-on, the muzzle, the stripes in close-up.
- White tiger: a pale coat, blue eyes, a gentler motif than an orange tiger.
- Black and white tiger: a graphic version, strong contrast, at ease in a pared-back interior.
- Tiger and dragon: an Asian composition, two figures answering each other.
- Tiger in the wild: jungle, tall grass, a full wildlife scene.
- Graphic or minimalist style: a simplified silhouette, flat colour, a pared-back line.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a tiger poster?
- Living room: a portrait in a large size, above the sofa or the TV unit.
- Bedroom: a white or black and white tiger, calmer than a bright orange coat.
- Office: a graphic version, restrained, which does not overload the eye.
- Child's or teenager's room: a jungle scene, more narrative than a plain portrait.
- Entrance or hallway: a tiger and dragon poster, a strong piece that sets the tone.
Tip: a tiger's gaze head-on catches the attention from any point in the room. Place it facing the door rather than in a corner.
Colour or black and white for a tiger?
- The orange tiger asserts itself as a colour in its own right: it calls for a neutral wall so as not to conflict with the rest of the room.
- The white or black and white tiger slips more easily into an existing palette, whatever it is.
- On a wall already full of colour, black and white holds the reading better.
- On a neutral wall, colour becomes the focal point of the room.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
