Posters Malta
Malta as seen by our artists: the honey-coloured stone, the painted balconies and the harbour under an arch. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your Malta poster
Which Malta poster should you choose?
- Valletta poster: bastions, ochre facades and the Grand Harbour seen from the ramparts.
- Mdina poster: golden stone lanes and the silhouette of the silent city.
- Maltese baroque poster: domes, cathedrals and carved details.
- Gozo and Comino poster: cliffs, coves and blue lagoon.
- Maltese sailing and harbour poster: colourful luzzu, quays and fishing boats.
- Malta map poster: the archipelago's outline and main landmarks.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a Malta poster?
- Living room: a Valletta view in a large size, alone above the sofa.
- Bedroom: a lagoon blue, for a calm wall above the bed.
- Office: a map of Malta, understated next to the screen.
- Entrance: a sailing or harbour poster, to set the tone of the journey from the doorstep.
- Dining room: a Mdina lane, paired with another view of the island.
Malta poster in colour or in black and white?
Colour brings back the ochre of the facades and the blue of the Grand Harbour, a palette of its own for the archipelago. Black and white narrows the focus onto the architecture, the ramparts and the lines of the bastions, and fits more easily into an interior already rich in colour. On a pale wall, colour carries more of the Mediterranean promise; on a dark wall, black and white keeps the contrast sharp.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
