Choosing your moon poster

Which moon poster should you choose?

  • Realistic moon poster: photograph or high definition rendering of the lunar disc, visible craters, scientific register.
  • Gaspard de la Lune poster: soft and childlike world, moon character for a bedroom.
  • Moon phase poster: full cycle across several discs, from crescent to full moon, graphic and clean register.

Where should you hang a moon poster?

Moon poster as a polyptych or a single piece?

The cycle of the moon phases lends itself naturally to a polyptych: several frames aligned that tell a progression, from crescent to full moon. A single moon, realistic or vintage, works better alone, in a large size, as the focal point of a wall. The birth moon always remains a single piece, the one of the exact day it represents.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
