Choosing your Nice poster

Which Nice poster should you choose?

Nice comes in several registers, and each tells another side of the city:

  • Nice Cote d'Azur poster: the Promenade des Anglais, palm trees, a turquoise sea.
  • Vintage Nice poster: old advertising, period lettering and colours.
  • Blue chair poster: the emblematic furniture of the Promenade, a motif in itself.
  • Retro Nice poster: railway companies, seaside resorts, a travel style.
  • Old Nice: alleys, coloured facades, the flower market.
  • Nice by a signature hand: an author's line tied to the city for decades.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a Nice poster?

  • Living room: a Cote d'Azur view in a large size, alone above the sofa.
  • Entrance: a vintage Nice poster, to set the tone from the door.

Tip: Nice posters play a great deal on blue and white. On an already pale wall they gain contrast; on a sand or terracotta wall they warm the room.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
