Engraving poster: printed reproduction or original print?
Our engraving posters are printed reproductions, taken from a motif engraved or drawn in this style; they are not numbered original prints or hand pulled impressions. This choice lets you find the same motif in several sizes, from 21x30 to 70x100, without the constraints of a limited edition run. The result stays faithful to the original line work, from strict black and white to sepia tones. The grain of the paper enhances this graphic rendering.
Poster, print or artwork: what is the difference?
The three words describe the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We call it a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already have.
