Posters port

A port poster captures the atmosphere of a bustling quay or a silent marina: moored boats, fishing nets, aligned masts under shifting light. Between a colourful fishing port and a sleek marina, it brings a concrete scene to the wall, far from a simple sea horizon.

Choosing the right port poster

Which port poster to choose?

Port scenes come in several distinct styles, and they don't suit the same rooms:

  • Fishing port: colourful boats, spread-out nets, bustling quays at dawn.
  • Marina: aligned sailboats, tightly packed masts, a calm and orderly basin.
  • Moored boats: close-up on hulls, ropes and reflections, at rest.
  • Harbour architecture: lighthouses, cranes, warehouses and sheds along the quay.
  • Port at sunset: gradient sky, golden reflections on calm water.
  • Port at night: quay lights, dark reflections in the basin.

The filters on the left narrow the choice by dominant colour, style and room.

Where to hang a port poster?

  • Living room: a large horizontal format, above the sofa.
  • Bedroom: a calm port, in soft tones, far from the bustle of the quay.
  • Office: a scene of moored boats, understated and composed, next to the screen.
  • Kitchen: a colourful, lively fishing port, near the table.
  • Entryway: a quay view that sets the tone from the doorstep.

Tip: the grey-blue tones of a port pair well with a light-coloured wall, without dominating the room.

Fishing port or marina?

A fishing port poster plays on the colour of the boats and the bustle of early morning, a lively choice for a kitchen or an entryway. A marina artwork, more refined, lines up sailboats in calm light and suits a sober living room or an office better. On a neutral wall, a colourful port poster warms the room without overloading it, while a marina scene calms it without cooling it down.

Poster, print or artwork: what's the difference?

The three words here describe the same thing: a printed image you hang on the wall. We call it a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on metal panels, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already have.
