Choosing your rabbit poster

Which rabbit poster should you choose?

The rabbit comes in several clearly distinct registers, and they do not speak to the same audience:

  • Illustrated rabbit poster: soft lines, flat colour, a world for a child's room.
  • Miffy poster: a minimalist silhouette, frank colours, a motif recognisable among all others.
  • Peter Rabbit poster: old-style engraving, a blue jacket, an English botanical world.
  • Baby rabbit poster: a tender size, pastel, made for a nursery.
  • Black and white rabbit poster: graphic contrast, a pared-back line, at ease in any interior.
  • Rabbit front and back poster: a diptych playing on the symmetry and movement of the animal.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a rabbit poster?

  • Nursery: a pastel rabbit or a very gentle motif, above the cot.
  • Child's room: Miffy or Peter Rabbit, alone or in a small series.
  • Living room: a black and white rabbit, more graphic, which holds on an adult wall.
  • Hallway: a front and back diptych, made for two aligned frames.
  • Office or reading corner: a discreet illustration, which softens without distracting.

Tip: in a nursery, prefer a size that stays legible from the floor of the cot, with no detail too fine.

Rabbit diptych or a single poster?

  • The front and back diptych plays on repetition: two identical frames, a rabbit that turns around.
  • A single poster concentrates attention on one motif or one scene, easier to fit on an already crowded wall.
  • At 21x30 the diptych stays light and suits a hallway or the space above a chest of drawers.
  • At 30x40 or 50x70, a single poster is enough to occupy the wall above a child's bed.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
