Arcachon Posters
Arcachon lends itself to a poster capturing the bay, pinasses and pier, or the villas of the Ville d'Hiver nestled beneath the pines. Three styles to evoke this Atlantic coastline indoors: graphic seascapes, elegant façades, luminous shores. Printed to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.
This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.
Arcachon poster: bay, pinasses and Ville d'Hiver
Which Arcachon poster to choose
Arcachon has two distinct faces, which a poster can treat separately or bring together in a series. The town concentrates the pier, seafront and villas; the bay, meanwhile, stretches out towards the tchanquées cabins and oyster beds. To help narrow your choice, here are a few concrete styles:
- A traditional pinasse on the calm waters of the bay, an emblematic and graphic motif
- Arcachon's pier and seafront, in a blue or pastel palette
- The villas of the Ville d'Hiver, with their woodwork and silhouette beneath the pines
- A shoreline view at sunset, sand dunes and reflections on the water
- A contemporary, minimalist rendering of the bay, for a pared-back interior
Colour and style filters refine your choice further. The Dune du Pilat belongs to La Teste-de-Buch, a neighbouring town, not to Arcachon itself.
Where to hang an Arcachon poster
The choice of size and placement depends on the mood you want to create.
- Living room: a panorama of the bay in 50x70 or 70x100 above the sofa
- Bedroom: a pinasse on calm water to extend a soft palette
- Entryway: a Ville d'Hiver villa in 30x40 near a console table
- Office: a pier detail in 21x30 to evoke the coastline discreetly
Tip: pair an urban view with a bay view on the same wall to tell both sides of Arcachon's story.
Town or bay: a choice to make
Before composing your wall, ask yourself whether you want to evoke Arcachon's architecture, with its villas and pier, or the bay's nature, with its pinasses and shores. This choice naturally guides the palette and style of the poster, between an urban atmosphere and a calm seaside landscape.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
