Bayonne posters

Reflections of the Nive and the Adour, half-timbered facades, the cathedral's silhouette: Bayonne offers a scene set between river and Basque architecture. Explore these themes for your wall decor. We print each poster to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.

This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.

Bayonne poster: the Basque city between two rivers

Which Bayonne poster to choose

Bayonne offers several visual readings depending on the mood you want for your interior.

  • A graphic view of the quays with the Nive and the Adour, playing on horizontal lines and reflections on the water
  • A composition centered on half-timbered facades and their colorful shutters, in bold flat colors
  • The silhouette of Sainte-Marie Cathedral rendered in backlight or in a clean line
  • A perspective on the bridges linking the two banks, for a more architectural and structured reading
  • A minimalist interpretation of the Basque city, reduced to a few shapes and a restrained palette

Color and style filters let you refine your choice.

Where to hang it in the home

A Bayonne poster finds its place in several rooms depending on the chosen theme.

  • Entryway: a vertical format centered on the half-timbering welcomes guests from the threshold
  • Living room: a wide view of the quays or bridges fits above a sofa or a sideboard
  • Bedroom: a graphic and calm interpretation of the cathedral extends a restful mood
  • Office: an architectural framing of the bridges structures a work wall

Tip: pair two different formats, a wide framing of the quays and a detail of the colorful shutters, to compose a two-tempo wall without overloading the space.

A choice between water and stone

Should you favor the Nive and the Adour, with their reflections and movement, or rather the half-timbered facades and the cathedral, more anchored in stone and color? Both directions tell Bayonne differently: one evokes passage and the changing light of water, the other the permanence of Basque architecture.

To decide, consider the room's orientation and the natural light it receives, which will suit one mood or the other throughout the day.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
