Which Beauvais poster should you choose?
Beauvais comes in several registers, and they do not tell the same town:

- Beauvais map or town plan poster: the Thérain, the centre, the districts traced in line.

Tip: a vertical image does not take being hung too high. The vanishing point should stay above the eye, not out of reach.

- The whole landmark gives the scale: the nave, the piers, the sky around.
- The detail keeps the material: ribs, tracery, the shadow of a pinnacle.
- On a large wall, the whole landmark carries alone and imposes its vertical.
- At a small size, the detail keeps its legibility where a wide view closes up.

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
