Choosing your car poster

Which car poster should you choose?

The motor car comes in several clearly distinct registers, and they do not speak to the same audience:

  • Porsche poster: the 911 silhouette, the GT3 RS, a German line recognisable among a thousand.
  • Car advertising poster: a period advertisement, lettering, a brand logo.
  • Vintage car poster: chromed bodywork, a filling station, an American road.
  • Sports car poster: Lamborghini, Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, a low taut line.
  • Classic car poster: 2CV, Volkswagen camper, Alpine A110, a popular charm.
  • Racing car poster: Formula 1, motorsport, a corner and speed.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a car poster?

  • Living room: a Porsche or a Bugatti in a large size, alone on the wall.
  • Office: a vintage advertising poster, plain beside the screen.
  • Garage or workshop: motorsport and black and white find their natural place there.
  • Bedroom: a classic car, more settled than a sports model.
  • Hallway: a series of three posters from the same marque, in the same size.

Tip: black and white softens the fan-poster effect and goes with furniture that already carries colour.

Porsche or Bugatti: what difference does the wall make?

  • A Porsche 911 stays discreet: a pared-back line, it suits a living room that is already furnished.
  • A Bugatti or a Lamborghini draws the eye first: it wants a clear wall around it.
  • The 50x70 convinces for a single car, framed tight.
  • The 70x100 gives air to a racing scene or a road landscape.
  • We print on 270 g photo paper with a semi-matte finish, from 21x30 up to the 100x140 polyptych.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
