Toulon Posters
Toulon lends itself to a poster that captures its bay, its sailboats and the Mediterranean light. Between a view from Mont Faron, a lively harbour scene and maritime districts with colourful façades, each style tells the city's story differently. Printed to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.
This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.
Toulon poster: the bay and its light as wall décor
Which Toulon poster to choose
Toulon lends itself to several ways of being depicted, depending on the mood you're after. A view from Mont Faron gives a panoramic poster, ideal for showcasing the scale of the bay and the play of the terrain. Colour and style filters help you compare these different views of the city. Here are a few styles worth considering:
- Panoramic view of the bay from the heights
- Harbour scene with sailboats and fishing boats
- Alleyways and façades of the maritime districts
- Luminous palette evoking the Mediterranean climate
- Close-up framing on an architectural or nautical detail
Where to hang a Toulon poster
The size and placement depend on the room and the effect you want. In a living room, a large format such as 50x70 or 70x100 naturally draws the eye. In an entryway, a 30x40 is enough without overwhelming the space. In an office, an understated composition supports concentration.
- Living room: large format above the sofa or sideboard
- Entryway: medium format to welcome you as you arrive
- Office: calm composition, soft and bright tones
- Bedroom: intimate format, close-up framing on a detail
Tip: for a south-facing room, a shade close to natural light extends the Mediterranean feel.
Bay or maritime districts
Between a poster centred on the bay and one focused on the maritime districts, the choice depends on what you want to evoke day to day. The bay, with its sailboats and Mont Faron in the background, suits a décor that favours the horizon and the open sea. The maritime districts, more focused on façades and harbour life, bring an urban, warm atmosphere, closer to everyday life in Toulon.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
