A frontal, tightly framed photographic view of the built-up hillside: housing blocks, towers and villas stack up to the top of the frame, with no sky visible. At the bottom, a covered quay runs along the dark water, with a large white yacht moored on the right. The palette stays cool and almost monochrome (concrete grey, bluish glass and patches of greenery) which heightens the repetition of the balconies. The name of the principality is set in thin, widely spaced capitals on the strip of water at the bottom of the image.

A photograph on the theme of the city and travel, in Monaco. Mainly blue and grey, a rich, busy composition. This poster works as wall art in a living room.
