Posters astronomy

Stars, orbits and celestial maps give astronomy a fascinating visual language. An astronomy poster evokes the observation of the sky, from the drawing of a planet to the board illustrated with constellations. Choose a wall decoration that combines your curiosity about the universe with a graphic composition, clear and pleasant to look at.

Astronomy poster: observing the sky in images

Which astronomy poster to choose?

An astronomy poster can highlight a star or organize several elements in a spread. The phases of the Moon give a series of simple shapes; the orbits make up lines and circles. A sky map favors constellations, while a planet illustration works more on textures and colors. The density of details determines the ideal distance to view the image.

  • Moon phases poster: a succession of silhouettes for a graphic and orderly wall decoration.
  • Poster constellations: points and lines to evoke the observation of the sky and its landmarks.
  • Planets poster: a set of shapes and colors which depict the visual diversity of the stars.
  • Vintage astronomy board: an inspiration from old scientific illustration, with a precise drawing and a discreet background.

Filters allow dark compositions to be compared with lighter boards and colorful interpretations.

Where to hang an astronomy poster?

A desk welcomes a detailed board near a reading area. In a bedroom, an image of the Moon or sky can accompany soft lighting. A child's room lends itself to a readable composition of planets. Tip: for a map rich in small signs, choose a location that you can approach easily rather than a wall only viewed from afar.

A celestial plank or an evocation of the universe?

If your interest is in observation, the charts and sequences of stars provide an ordered record. For an atmosphere, favor the light and colors of a spatial illustration. A decoration remains first and foremost an image chosen for the wall. A duo can associate an isolated planet with a celestial map, with backgrounds of the same intensity and consistent margins.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
