Choosing your stag poster

Which deer poster should you choose?

  • Black and white deer poster: cut-out silhouette and antlers, sharp contrast, works with any interior.
  • Scandinavian deer poster: clean line, soft flat colours, Nordic spirit.
  • Deer head poster: tight crop on the antlers, a trophy register without the hunt.
  • Deer in the forest poster: the animal in its undergrowth, mist or low light.
  • Photographic deer poster: large-format animal portrait, texture and detail of the coat.
  • XXL deer poster: the same subject as a wall trophy for a living room with generous volumes.

Where should you hang a deer poster?

  • Living room: an XXL deer poster as a single piece above the sofa.
  • Bedroom: a black and white deer, soothing above the bed.
  • Office or library: a deer head, a more classic register.

Deer poster with or without frame?

A black and white deer poster is often enough without a frame, set on a pale wall where the contrast carries on its own. A deer in colour or an XXL size gains from being framed, the frame steadies a piece dense in detail. The choice also depends on the wall: raw or battened, the poster alone stays more discreet; on a wall already busy, the frame isolates the subject and keeps it from fading into the background.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
