Posters botanical bedroom
Posters from our Botanical department that suit a bedroom: vintage plates, herbarium prints, foliage in soft tones.
Choosing the right poster
A botanical plate is a repeated, regular motif, and that's exactly what you want to see when you wake up. The eye settles on it without effort, unlike a landscape or a portrait, which ask to be read. That's the strongest reason to choose this style for a bedroom, even before the question of colours.
Botanical prints are often ordered in twos or threes, because the antique plates were drawn in series and naturally echo one another. Two 30x40 prints framed the same way above a bedside table, or three aligned above the bed: the size matters less than the regular gap between the frames, around 5 cm.
Above a bed, the bottom of the poster should sit between 20 and 30 cm above the headboard. Higher, and the arrangement floats; lower, and you knock into it when you sit up.
