Which sun poster should you choose?

• Sunset: a sky ablaze, a clear horizon, orange and pink dominant.
• Sunrise: soft light, morning mist, pastel tones.
• Sunset over the sea: the disc sinking into the water, reflections on the waves.
• Setting sun over mountains or city: the outline of ridges or roofs against the light.
• Sun salutation: a yoga posture, a solar circle, a pared-back line.
• The sun all year: the cycle of the seasons, a solar calendar, a graphic illustration.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a sun poster?

• Living room: a sunset in a large size, above the sofa.
• Bedroom: a sunrise in soft tones, for a gentle waking.
• Meditation room or yoga corner: a sun salutation, plain and centred.
• Office: a discreet setting sun, which accompanies without distracting.
• Entrance or hallway: a series of three shades of the same sun, at different hours.

Sunset or sunrise?

• The sunset closes the day: more intense colours, often orange and violet.
• The sunrise opens it: paler tones, soft yellow and light blue.
• In a bedroom the sunrise suits waking better; the sunset finds its place in the living rooms, once evening comes.
• The size counts too: a 50x70 or a 70x100 for the horizon, a 30x40 for a tighter frame on the solar disc.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

• With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
• Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
