Posters wine

Between rows of vines, glasses held up to the light and bottles set on a table, the wine poster brings a warm mood to a kitchen or dining room. The traditional wine artwork and the more graphic wine print both find their place depending on the style you're after.

Choosing the right wine poster

Which wine poster to choose?

Wine comes in several registers, and each one sets a different mood on a wall:

  • Vineyard poster: rows of vines, hillsides, vineyard landscape in low light.
  • Glass and tasting: glass held up to the light, reflections, table scene.
  • Bottle and still life: bottle set with fruit or cheese, a gourmet register.
  • Cellar and wine cellar: rows of bottles lying down, barrels, stone and dim light.
  • Vintage wine poster: old advert, typography and retro illustration.
  • Classic painting-style wine artwork: composed scene, warm and deep tones.

The filters on the left narrow the choice by dominant colour, style and room.

Where to hang a wine poster?

  • Kitchen: a bottle or a still life, near the worktop.
  • Dining room: a tasting scene or a cellar view, above the sideboard.
  • Living room: a vineyard scene in a large format, to set the tone of the wall.
  • Wine cellar or pantry: the most direct register, cellar or bottles lying down.
  • Home office: a vintage wine poster, understated next to the screen.

Wine poster in colour or black and white?

Colour brings out the warm tones of the grape and the wood, and suits a lively kitchen. Black and white simplifies the scene and works well in an interior already rich in colour. On a light wall, a thin wooden frame lets a still life breathe; on a dark wall, a black frame strengthens the contrast of a cellar scene.

Poster, print or artwork: what's the difference?

All three words describe the same thing here: a printed image you hang on the wall. We call it a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal panel, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already own.
