Choosing the right poster

Abstract art has a precise advantage in a living room: it tells no story. A photograph or a figurative illustration catches the eye and holds it, which is awkward in the room where you entertain and talk. An abstract composition occupies the wall without taking it over.

It's also the style that blends most easily with what's already there. A muted palette of two or three colours ties in with a sofa, a rug or a piece of wood without the room needing to be redone around it. And if the wall is large, abstract is the only style that truly accepts a very large format without becoming overwhelming.

Two abstract posters side by side, in 50x70, hold a wall better than a single 70x100: the repetition of the same vocabulary of shapes reads as a deliberate set. The composer shows the render to scale before you order.
