Choosing your botanical bedroom poster

Which botanical bedroom poster should you choose?

The plant world comes in several registers, and each sets up a different mood:

  • Botanical plate: herbaria, veined leaves, dried flowers, in the old manner.
  • Tropical foliage: monstera, palm, banana tree, wide deep green leaves.
  • Nature decor for a nursery: soft plant motifs and discreet animals, for a settling child's room.
  • Wild flowers: simple bouquets, pastel tones, light lines.
  • Minimalist botany: a single branch, plenty of white, a fine line.
  • Plant still life: vases, pots, settled compositions.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a botanical bedroom poster?

  • Nursery: soft motifs and pastel foliage, for settling wall decor.
  • Adult bedroom: a botanical plate in a large size, alone above the bed.
  • Bathroom: tropical foliage, which extends the jungle mood of the room.
  • Office: a minimalist branch, restful beside the screen.
  • Entrance or hallway: a series of three botanical plates in the same size.

Which size for a botanical poster?

  • 30x40 for a single branch, which needs breathing room around it.
  • 50x70 for a detailed botanical plate, with several leaves or flowers.
  • Three 21x30 in a line for a series of different foliage.
  • The 100x140 polyptych for XXL foliage in the manner of an indoor jungle.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
