Posters fish

Fish as seen by our artists: the fish in line, in checkerboard and in shoals of sardines. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal world, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.

Choosing your fish poster

Which fish poster should you choose?

  • Vintage fish poster: naturalist plate, antique engraving, sepia tones and aged paper.
  • Shark poster: graphic silhouette, sharp contrast, open-sea mood.
  • Koi carp poster: bright colours, Japanese-inspired pattern, flowing curves.
  • Sea or Mediterranean fish poster: sea bass, sea bream, red mullet, a blue and sand palette.
  • Freshwater fish poster: pike, trout, river and green reflections.
  • Tropical fish poster: saturated colours, reef patterns, aquarium mood.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by species and by style.

Where should you hang a fish poster?

  • Kitchen or dining room: a sea fish or a koi carp, near the table.
  • Bathroom: the subject that fits best, freshwater or tropical fish.
  • Living room: a large-format shark or vintage fish poster, alone above the sofa.
  • Office: a plain naturalist plate, beside the screen.
  • Entrance: a series of tropical fish, to set the tone from the doorway.

Vintage fish poster or bright colour?

The naturalist plate and the vintage engraving suit a classical interior or a library, in a sepia palette that outlasts trends. The koi carp or the tropical reef, in saturated colours, carry further in a room that is already neutral, where they become the point of colour. On a wall that is already busy, choose black and white or sepia, which calms the whole. For a child's bedroom or a bright bathroom, bright colour holds up better over time.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
