Posters fox
The fox as seen by our artists: from clean line to painted fur, from geometric pattern to undergrowth, a fine muzzle and a sideways glance. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal, hand-printed on 270 g photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our studio in Fayence.
Choosing your fox poster
Which fox poster should you choose?
The fox is looked for as a fox poster, a fox print or a print of a fox, and the chosen line changes the whole result. You will also find it as a fox poster to print: we deliver a print already ready to frame, not a file for you to print yourself.
- Watercolour fox poster: a blended red coat, ringed with white, texture and transparency.
- Fine-line fox poster: one continuous line, a pared-back drawing, a silhouette suggested rather than detailed.
- Scandinavian fox poster: geometric shapes, a pastel palette, a soft and childlike spirit.
- Naturalist plate: a fox in profile, a Latin caption, the air of a cabinet of curiosities.
- Fox birth poster and baby fox poster: a tender silhouette, first name and date to personalise.
- Vintage fox poster: an old engraving, sepia tones, the style of a scientific manual.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a fox poster?
- Child's room: a fox birth poster or a baby fox, above the bed or the changing table.
- Living room: a watercolour fox in a large size, alone on a clear wall.
- Office: a fine-line drawing, discreet beside the screen.
- Hallway: two or three foxes by the same artist, in the same size.
- Entrance: a naturalist plate, which sets the tone from the threshold.
Tip: a fox in vivid colours holds better on a pale wall, which lets the red breathe.
Which size for a fox poster?
- 21x30 for a fox birth poster, above a very young child's bed.
- 30x40 for a single baby fox, in a child's room.
- 50x70 for a watercolour fox in a living room, which needs space around it.
- 70x100 for a naturalist plate, in a living space.
- The 100x140 polyptych for a fox multiplied across several panels.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
