Which Tokyo poster should you choose?
Tokyo lends itself to very different interpretations depending on the mood you're after. A minimalist graphic view reduces the city to its essential lines, while a more detailed scene captures the density and energy unique to the Japanese capital. To guide your choice, think of a specific motif rather than a general idea.

Graphic view or detailed scene?
Should you favour a streamlined graphic interpretation of Tokyo or a scene richer in urban detail? It depends on the atmosphere you want. A minimalist composition, playing with silhouettes and flat colour areas, fits easily into an understated interior and lets the wall breathe. A detailed scene, with bustling streets and multiple signs, is better suited to a space where the poster becomes a central element of the decor.
Also consider the light: coloured signs stand out against a light wall, while a dark skyline draws a more discreet horizon.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
