How to choose your Andalusia poster

Which Andalusia poster to choose?

Andalusia comes in several registers, to choose according to the mood you want:

  • Andalusian patios: flower-filled courtyards, azulejos, fountains and arcades.
  • Moorish arches: horseshoe doorways, geometric ornamentation, distinctive Andalusian architecture.
  • White villages: narrow lanes, whitewashed façades, coloured shutters.
  • Seville: the Giralda, the Plaza de España, a lively, sunny atmosphere.
  • Granada: the Alhambra, its gardens and ramparts against a mountain backdrop.
  • Andalusian landscapes: olive groves, dry hills, southern light.

Where to hang an Andalusia poster?

  • Living room: a patio or a view of Granada, in a large format, above the sofa.

Andalusia poster in colour or in sepia tones?

Colour brings out the ochre of the façades, the white of the villages and the green of the patios: it suits a neutral wall that needs some life. Sepia or black and white tones soften the contrast and work better with a wall already rich in colour. On a vertical format, a single door or arch works well; on a horizontal format, a landscape or city view takes up its place more fully.

Poster, print or painting: what's the difference?

All three words describe the same thing here: a printed image you hang on the wall. We call it a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on metal panels, in several sizes.

  • Framed: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
  • Unframed: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already own.
