How to choose your impressionism poster

Which impressionism poster to choose?

The impressionist print comes in several registers, depending on the subject and the way colour is applied:

  • Impressionist landscape poster: poppy fields, haystacks, light that changes with the hour.
  • Garden and water lilies poster: reflections on water, touches of green and blue, plant palette.
  • Impressionist seaside poster: cliffs, sailboats, sky worked with small touches.
  • Impressionist scene of life poster: a ball, a cafe, a stroll, sketched rather than detailed silhouettes.
  • Impressionist undergrowth: foliage with changing reflections, coloured shadows, light filtered through the trees.

Impressionism poster: a single format or a polyptych?

A composition already designed in landscape can dress a wide wall, whether it depicts an expanse of fields or a sea horizon. The 100x140 polyptych spreads the image across four panels, in a 2x2 layout. The work keeps its original orientation; we do not create a portrait or landscape variation of a classic work. A print in pastel tones suits a bright interior, while a more vivid palette draws the eye in a plain room. For a smaller wall, a single format remains easy to install.

Poster, print or artwork: what's the difference?

The three words here refer to the same thing: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We call it a poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, mounted and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
