Hen posters
The hen inspires rustic, endearing decor: its characteristic plumage and comb, a mother hen surrounded by her chicks, or a hen pecking in the garden, in a naturalistic, graphic or humorous style. Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.
This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.
Hen posters: the farmyard as wall decor
Which hen poster should you choose?
The rustic style highlights the farmyard, wood grain and ochre tones. The graphic style simplifies the silhouette into flat colour blocks, suited to a contemporary kitchen. The naturalistic style details the plumage and comb with precision. The tender style shows the mother hen surrounded by her chicks, while the humorous tone plays on a comical pose. Where to hang a hen poster?
The kitchen remains the natural spot for this subject, in a small format near a shelf or as a frieze above the worktop. In a laundry room, a rustic poster extends the room's rustic spirit. A child's bedroom happily welcomes the mother-and-chicks scene, softly placed above the bed.
- Kitchen: small format or decorative frieze
- Laundry room: fully embraced rustic feel
- Child's bedroom: endearing scene in 30x40
- Entrance or hallway: graphic format in 50x70
Tip: for a living space, a 100x140 polyptych spread across four panels adds depth to a hen silhouette without overloading the wall.
Portrait or farmyard scene?
A close-up portrait highlights the hen's plumage and silhouette, with a pattern that reads clearly even on a small wall. A farmyard scene gives more room to the garden, the wood and everyday gestures. For a child's bedroom, the mother hen surrounded by her chicks offers a subject that's easy to observe. In a kitchen, a simple framing lets the utensils and shelves keep their place.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
