The Basque Country seen by our artists: strings of Espelette peppers on white façades, chistera and espadrilles, silhouettes by the ocean. Each poster is a personal reading of the Basque Country, hand-printed on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our studio in Grasse.

The Basque Country splits here into two distinct readings, and they don't tell quite the same story: white facades hung with Espelette pepper, the chistera and espadrilles of Basque pelota in flat colour, and a woman's silhouette turned toward the shore in a red shawl.
It's a region that works well as either a scene or a portrait: the flowering terrace sets a place and a mood, while the silhouette in the red shawl draws the eye in closer. The two scales sit well together on the same wall.
The white of the facades and the red of the Espelette pepper are bold, flat colours. Our 220 g/m² art paper with a satin finish renders these flat tones without glare, with the crispness this graphic line calls for.
