Posters brutalism

Concrete volumes, deep shadows and clean lines give brutalism a strong architectural presence. A brutalism poster transforms these structures into a wall composition, from the drawn building to the almost abstract play of masses and light. Choose a poster that lets shapes and materials speak with a controlled palette.

This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.

Brutalism poster: volumes, concrete and light

Which brutalism poster to choose?

Brutalist architecture lends itself to a graphic reading of buildings. Repetitive facades, stairs, pillars and cantilevered volumes compose images where light counts as much as structure. A poster can show a building as a whole or isolate a concrete detail. Black and white highlights the shadows; warm tones sometimes make the material more welcoming.

  • Brutalist architecture poster: a building or a set of volumes whose lines organize the eye.
  • Concrete poster: attention to surfaces and shadows, for lovers of mineral textures.
  • Black and white brutalism poster: strong contrasts that put the geometry of the structures in the foreground.
  • Minimalist brutalist illustration: a few masses and lots of space for a refined wall decoration.

Use the filters to compare monochrome compositions with softer-colored renditions.

Where to hang a brutalist poster?

A sober living room allows strong architecture to maintain its full presence. In an office, repetitive lines accompany simple furniture and selected objects. An entrance can accommodate a facade detail in vertical format. Tip: wood and textiles soften the visual harshness of concrete; their presence around the poster brings balance without modifying the image.

Show a building or its shapes?

An entire view tells of a place and scale, while a detail can become almost abstract. Choose according to your reading distance: small shadows benefit from being observed closely; a large mass can be seen from the back of the room. For a duo, vary the points of view while keeping the light and intensity of contrast compatible.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
