Posters Hamburg

Port, canals and brick architecture give Hamburg a unique urban identity. A Hamburg poster evokes the German city between the facades of Speicherstadt and the lines of the Elbphilharmonie. Choose a wall decoration that keeps the light on the water, the strength of the buildings and the memory of a walk.

This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.

Hamburg poster: bricks, canals and port architecture

Which Hamburg poster to choose?

Hamburg offers scenes where water and architecture respond to each other. Speicherstadt's warehouses bring red bricks and canal vistas; the Elbphilharmonie gives a freer contemporary silhouette. A view of the harbor emphasizes scale and horizons, while a scene around the Alster leaves more room for the sky. A map of Hamburg shows the city lines soberly.

  • Speicherstadt poster: brick facades and canals for a wall decoration with a warm urban character.
  • Poster Elbphilharmonie: contemporary architecture whose silhouette creates a very recognizable graphic focal point.
  • Hamburg harbor poster: water and buildings combined in a panorama that maintains a feeling of openness.
  • Vintage Hamburg poster: a stylized travel register, with solid colors and a narrow color palette.

The filters help bring the reds of the facades or the blues of the water closer to the materials in your interior.

Where to install a poster of Hamburg?

A living room can accommodate a harbor panorama above a low cabinet. In an office, an architectural detail accompanies books and simple furniture. An entryway lends itself to a map or a sharp silhouette. Tip: choose a light frame to keep the light around the bricks; a black frame reinforces the lines of buildings and bridges.

Historical or contemporary architecture?

Speicherstadt and the Elbphilharmonie give two complementary views of the city. For a duo, combine an old facade with a recent silhouette, with a common format and compatible colors. A single poster benefits from maintaining a clear scale: a detailed building or an open panorama, rather than an accumulation of monuments which would make the image more difficult to read.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
