Posters animals
Animals seen by our artists: birds, cats, dogs, wildlife and naturalist plates. An animal print works in a living room as well as in a child's room. Every print is made to order in our workshop in Grasse, on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish.
Choosing your animal print
Which animal print to choose?
The treatment counts as much as the species, and it decides the room:
- Naturalist plates: precise line, cream ground, Latin names.
- Birds: flight, plumage, branches, outlines.
- Cats and dogs: portraits, poses, humour.
- Wildlife: lion, tiger, elephant, monkey.
- Baby animals: child's room, soft tones.
- Wildlife photography: close ups, black and white, the gaze.
The filters on the left narrow by dominant colour, style and mood.
Where to hang an animal poster?
- Child's room: baby animals or an illustrated alphabet.
- Living room: one naturalist plate alone, simply framed.
- Hallway: a series of birds, same format.
- Kitchen: poultry, fish, old plates.
- Office: an animal gaze, in black and white.
Tip: a naturalist plate calls for a simple frame. An ornate frame fights with the line.
What size for an animal print?
- 30x40 for a plate, where the Latin name stays readable.
- 50x70 for a portrait or a close up.
- Three 21x30 in a row for a series of birds.
- 70x100 for a big cat, which needs space.
Poster, print or wall picture: what is the difference?
Here the three words mean the same thing: an image you hang on the wall. We say print because we print on art paper, not on canvas or metal.
- Framed: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Unframed: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already own.
