Posters forest
Forest as seen by our artists: the aligned trunks and the light coming through the leaves. Each poster is a personal reading of nature, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.
Choosing your Forest poster
Which forest poster should you choose?
- Classic forest poster: dense undergrowth, aligned trunks, light filtered through the foliage.
- Forest animals poster: deer, fox or wolf in a natural scene, the most requested register of the subject.
- Tropical forest poster: broad foliage, deep green, jungle atmosphere and plant humidity.
- Autumn forest poster: birches and russet foliage, a warm end-of-season palette.
- Snowy forest poster: winter undergrowth, white and grey, a silent atmosphere.
- Black and white forest poster: trunks and mist reduced to contrast, a graphic and timeless register.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by size and by mood.
Where should you hang a forest poster?
- Living room: a large-size forest wall poster, alone above the sofa.
- Bedroom: a birch forest or a quiet undergrowth, above the bed.
- Nursery: a baby forest poster in soft tones, stylised animals rather than a realistic scene.
- Office: a black and white forest, understated next to the screen.
- Hallway or entrance: a series of forest animals, same size, to give rhythm to the wall.
Tip: a tropical forest with dense foliage warms up a north-facing room; a snowy forest or a pale birch suits an already warm wall better.
Large or small format forest poster?
- A living room or a high wall calls for an XXL forest poster or a polyptych, so the undergrowth unfolds without feeling cramped.
- A bedroom or a hallway is satisfied with a 30x40 or 50x70 size, easier to balance with other frames.
- A dense motif, such as a tropical canopy, reads better in a large size: details are lost in a small one.
- A graphic, stripped-back motif, such as a black and white forest with a few trunks, works as well in 21x30 as in a very large size.
Our forest posters are printed on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, in sizes 21x30, 30x40, 50x70, 70x100, and as a 101x141 polyptych for large canopies.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
