Which Troyes poster should you choose?
Troyes comes in several registers, and they do not tell the same city:
- Half-timbered houses poster: the leaning wooden facades, narrow lanes, the Mortier d'Or courtyard.
- Canal and quays poster: the water, the bridges, the reflections of the half-timbering.
- Troyes map or city plan poster: the champagne-cork-shaped centre, the streets in line.
- Troyes stained glass poster: coloured windows, lead, filtered light.
- Black and white Troyes poster: wood, stone, contrasts without colour.
- Champagne and Troyes poster: vineyards, chalk, an earth and leaf palette.

Where should you hang a Troyes poster?
- Living room: a street sloping down to the canal, in a large size above the sofa.
- Dining room: half-timbering agrees with the wood of the table without hardening it.
- Office: a city plan, precise and calm beside the screen.

- Hallway: a series of three Champagne towns, same size and same frame.
Tip: half-timbering is a dense motif, made of tight lines. Below 30x40 it closes up. Keep it for 50x70 or larger.

- The canal holds the horizontal: water, reflections, the bank line, room to breathe.
- In a hallway, the street extends the space instead of closing it.
- In a living room, the canal gives width and takes a large size.

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
